Group Tours

For groups of 10 or more, The Huntington offers tours of The Estate, the new Chinese Garden "Liu Fang Yuan", and Botanical Garden tours. Please note reservations are required at least one month in advance for all group tours. For reservations, please contact tours@huntington.org or 626-405-2210.


Estate Tour

An easy walking one-hour outdoor tour that covers the central area of the estate, including the world renowned galleries and gardens. Visitors will learn how Henry and Arabella Huntington turned their San Marino Ranch into a world famous cultural landmark. Weekdays: $19 per person, Saturdays: $22 per person. Includes admission.


Chinese Garden Tour of "Liu Fang Yuan"

Architecture, nature, art and literature meet in Liu Fang Yuan, the Garden of Flowing Fragrance. Groups are guided by specially trained docents on a 90-minute walking tour through the traditional Suzhou-style scholar's garden, featuring a 1.5-acre lake, pavilions, a canyon waterfall and hand-carved stone bridges set against a wooded backdrop of mature oaks, pines, camellias and blossoming plum trees. Celebrate the poetry, beauty and rich heritage unique to China. Tours during public hours: $25 per person. Morning tours before public hours: $30 per person. Includes admission.


Tea & Tour

Enjoy a private morning tour followed by English Tea Luncheon in the Huntington's Rose Garden Tea Room. The docent-led walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and ends at the Tea Room, where a buffet of finger sandwiches, strawberries and cream, imported cheeses, salads, and desserts await. The English tea includes warm scones and jam, and tea or coffee. Minimum 4 guests. Reservations required at least one month in advance. Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Monday holidays: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays.

The Huntington is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Independence Day.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, The Huntington observes summer hours and is open from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays. (After Labor Day, hours are 12 noon-4:30 p.m. Mon., Wed., Thurs., Fri.; 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sat., Sun.; closed Tues.)
