Description

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival is a National Historic Landmark, recipient of the prestigious National Medal of Arts, and home to America's longest-running international dance festival. Details of the 80th Anniversary Season (June 16 through August 26, 2012), a celebration of dance, art, culture and community, can be found at jacobspillow.org/festival.

Located in the majestic Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival brings together dance, music, art, and culture, with more than 300 free and ticketed events including dance performances, photography and art exhibits, lectures and discussions, tours, dance class observation, rare Archives, picnicking, and much more.

With these many value added experiences, a group trip to Jacob's Pillow will be exciting and memorable. Each Group experience is customized to suit the group's schedule, tastes, and budget. Our Group Sales Coordinator will help create an itinerary designed to take full advantage of all that Jacob's Pillow has to offer. Please call 413.243.9919 x132 to begin planning your visit, or visit http://www.jacobspillow.org/your-visit/your-visit/groups.php.

Also, you can experience the Pillow in your own home or on-the-go through Virtual Pillow, a collection of online video resources including performance clips, online talks, video tours, and Dance Interactive, which was recently called "a priceless treasury of history and art" by The Washington Post.

Lauded as "the hub and mecca of dancing" (TIME) and "one of America's most precious cultural assets" (world-famous dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov), Jacob's Pillow has received many honors throughout its eighty-year history. In 2003, the Pillow was designated a National Historic Landmark for its contributions to America and the dance field. Most notably, in 2011 the Pillow was awarded a prestigious National Medal of Arts for its "outstanding contributions to the excellence, growth, support and availability of the arts in the United States."
