This is a great weekend tour that includes many unique attractions that are a little more off-the-beaten path. This trip includes many distinctive dining experiences paired with a wide variety of activities for all ages. Guests will return home with great souvenirs, keepsake photos, and fond memories of West Texas. Midland International Airport, the closest airport to Big Bend National Park, makes this trip a convenient Fly-Drive as well.

Day 1 – Midland
Arrive In Midland to a Red Carpet Welcome Reception. Check into the hotel and relax and have some free time for miniature golf or a movie. Depart for dinner on the patio at Sedona Grill. Be entertained by folklorico dancers. Wind down with great Mexican food and a Texas sunset.

Day 2 - Midland
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the American Airpower Heritage Museum and Commemorative Air Force International Headquarters. Tour the museum and CAF, including the world’s largest collection of aviation nose art on the planes flown in World War II. Picnic lunch at the Sibley Nature Center. Enjoy nature trails and examine wildlife habitats at this center for environmental education. Then we will depart for shopping. Shop one-of-a-kind Miss Cayce’s Christmas Store for holiday decorations and ornaments. Purchase Mexican imports at Way Out West Trading Post. Depart for dinner and entertainment. Enjoy a Texas steak dinner at the Cattle Baron Steakhouse. Depart for the historic Yucca Theatre. Throw popcorn and enjoy sidesplitting laughter during the Olio of Summer Mummers melodrama mayhem (June through Labor Day).

Day 3 – Midland – Monahans – Fort Stockton
Check out of the hotel and depart for Scarborough-Linebery House. Enjoy tea and scones in the beautiful backyard of this Historical Texas Medallion Home with a tour of the interior. Depart for Susie's South Forty Confections candy factory to have some coffee and toffee with a demonstration on candy making. Lunch at Southern Velle for authentic southern home cooking such as fried green tomatoes filled with cream cheese. Then we will depart for the Monahans Sandhills State Park where there is nearly 4,000 acres of wind-sculpted sand dunes, some up to 70 feet high. Giant Frisbees can be rented to slide down the hills. Then on to Fort Stockton where we will tour the Historic Fort and see the world’s largest roadrunner. We will end the day with a picnic dinner and optional evening stroll. Overnight in Fort Stockton.

Day 4 – Fort Stockton – Midland
Awake to breakfast then tour the Annie Riggs Museum before departing to travel back to Midland to conclude your adventure.
