DAY 1:
Shopping at 3rd Street Shops and the west side of the river! Visit 3rd Street Shops, a unique blend of 20 individually owned specialty stores and coffee shop. Also, be sure to visit the other shops near 3rd Street…including Antique Market I and Antique Market III! If you are here on the first Sunday of the month or preceeding Saturday, be sure to check out the Kane County Flea Market, known as the “Best of the Midwest!”
Hop aboard a paddlewheel riverboat cruise on the Fox River!
Aboard a Mark Twain replica, cruise the scenic Fox River while enjoying the summer sunshine and summer sights! For private charter reservations, please call in advance. Lunch and dinner cruises also available!

DAY 2:
Full of summer beauty…the Fabyan Japanese Gardens! The original garden was built by Colonel and Mrs. George Fabyan in 1914 and designed by Taro Otuska, a Japanese landscape architect. The main con¬cept of Japanese gardening is more than material elements. The belief is that man is part of nature and human elements are depicted in water, stones and design. Head over to the Fabyan Windmill. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Fabyan Windmill is an authentic, working Dutch windmill dating from the 1850s. The 5¬story, 68¬foot windmill is fully restored to operate by natural wind energy. Tours avail¬able year round!
