* Half day skiing/boarding at Brian Head Resort or relax at the Cedar Breaks Day Spa, 435-677-3000 or www.cedarbreakslodge.com.
* Night Tubing at Brian Head Resort tubing park (holidays and weekends only). It’s like a frozen waterslide with six lanes to choose from and surface lift that takes you back to the top.
Day Three-Bryce Canyon National Park
* Travel one hour east to Bryce Canyon National Park. Limestone hoodoos glimmer in the snow. Rent cross-country skis at Ruby’s Inn Nordic Center 435-834-5341 or simply tour the main canyon scenic overlooks via your car. Winter in Bryce Canyon is a completely different experience!
Day Four –Zion National Park
* Head 20 miles south of Cedar City to North Zion’s Kolob Canyons. The rugged “finger canyons’ of red Navajo sandstone are spectacular in winter. The Kolob Canyons portion of Zion is considered to be the most conveniently located national park in Utah, it’s right off Interstate 15. the road in is only six miles long. Hike the Timbercreek Overlook trail
* Head south to the Zion Canyon. Zion is Utah’s most popular national park, however in the winter the crowds are light, so you practically have the canyon to your self. Hike the many trails, see frozen waterfalls and a slight dusting of snow the canyon tops. Stop by the Giant Screen Theater to see “Treasure of The Gods” on the 16 story screen.
