Day one:
Begin by traveling to Kentucky. Tour the Country Music Heritage Exhibit at the Highlands Museum in Ashland, KY. Check into local hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included at a local country retaurant, followed by an evening of music at the Mountain Arts Center.
Day two:
Begin with a full day of touring with a local guide. Tour the Mayo Mansion, Home of Kentucky's First Coal Baron. Visit the Mayo Methodist Church. Tour the Van Lear Museum and see a model Coal Company Town. Visit Loretta Lynn's Home in Butcher Hollow and the Webb's Country Store. Spend the afternoon at the Mountain Homeplace, a 1850-1875 Living History Farm. Dinner tonight is a Jerry's Restaurant, followed by a evening show at the Jenny Wiley Amphitheater.
Day three:
Depart for home.
