Day 1
Arrive in historic Gettysburg, PA

American Civil War Museum – This wax museum presents the entire story of the Civil War era and Battle of Gettysburg. See its causes, effects, heroes and heroines through an educational and inspiring experience appropriate for all ages. Afterward, spend time shopping in the on-site gift shop, one of the largest in Gettysburg.

“Fields of Freedom” – A 30-minute film shown in a new, state-of-the-art, specially designed giant-screen theater introduces you to the Battle as never before. Taken from dairies and letters of solders from both sides who fought at Gettysburg, this film will set the emotional stage for your time in Gettysburg.

Lunch on own and time to shop in downtown Gettysburg – enjoy the delicacies of a variety of Gettysburg restaurants in the historic downtown before taking time to wander through the antique shops, boutiques and art galleries.

Gettysburg Diorama – the largest miniature military diorama in the U.S. describes the three day battle with a sound and light show

Gettysburg Battlefield tour – Select a licensed Battlefield Guide on your coach, horseback tour or segway tour of the Battlefield to learn why this Battle was fought in Gettysburg and what happened during the three days of fighting.

Gettysburg National Military Park “new” Museum & Visitor Center - new feature film, restored Cyclorama painting and interactive state of the art museum which provides visitors with a distinct perspective of the Civil War through the words of its’ participants and spectators, including Presidents Lincoln and Davis, Generals Meade and Lee, soldiers, correspondents and civilians.

Dinner in a historic tavern – located in historic buildings, you will enjoy a selection of fine cuisine. Invite President Abraham Lincoln or General and Mrs. Grant to join you for a special dining experience.

Ghost tour of downtown Gettysburg – coach and walking tours of the historic district offered telling of local legends surrounding the haunted tales of soldiers and civilians.

Day 2
Guided Walking tour of historic downtown Gettysburg – learn the stories of the men and women who lived in Gettysburg, 1863, and their experiences during the three day battle and the aftermath.

Shriver House Museum – Dedicated to the civilian experience during the Battle of Gettysburg, the home of George and Hettie Shriver and their daughters, Sadie (7) and Mollie (5), appears much the way it did when it was built in 1860. Today, guides in period dress recount the harrowing story of the Shriver family's experiences during the battle and the lasting effects on their lives.

General Lee’s Headquarters – meet General Lee and tour the museum in the building used as the Confederate Headquarters during the battle in Gettysburg 1863.

Stop out at The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg for shopping Pennsylvania style (no tax on clothing) and lunch on own.

Eisenhower National Historic Site – home and farm of President Dwight D. Eisenhower which served as a weekend retreat and a meeting place for world leaders. Tour the home, enjoy a self-guided walk around the farm, or join a ranger for an exploration of 1950s Secret Service operations.

Boyds Bear Country – don’t miss the Big Ole Barn for shopping at the largest Teddy Bear store in the world

Dinner with a night at the theater or Allenberry Dinner Theater.

Day 3
Drive 1 hour to Hershey, PA – visit Chocolate World then on to Lancaster for a tour of the Amish Country and dinner at an Amish Farm house .
Or drive 1 ½ hours for a day in Washington, DC visiting the WWII , Viet Nam and Korean War Memorials, the Smithsonian Museum and a driving tour with a licensed DC Guide then return to Gettysburg, PA.

Day 4
Gettysburg Historic Church Tour – visit 4 churches, used as hospitals during and after the Battle, offering living history in beautiful architectural examples.

Visit rural America in the rolling hills of Adams County while touring the apple orchards. Shop at the unique Round Barn Farm Market and have a family-style lunch in a converted bank barn. Explore the Underground Railroad and learn about the Quaker Valley community and their roll sheltering escaping slaves.

Visit Adams County Winery for a wine tasting and tour at Gettysburg’s first winery housed in a 130-year-old bank barn.
