DAY 1
Your journey begins by exploring authentic Native American pieces at the Native American Artifacts Museum. You will discover
a collection of pieces from around the nation including: solid wood carved Indian statues, arrow points, trading beads, medicine
tubes, handmade tools, instruments and much more.

Enjoy lunch in award winning downtown Columbus. Downtown restaurant choices: Harvey’s, Zachery’s, Front Door/Back Door,
and Café on Main (All restaurants are within walking distance from the Welcome Center).

Take a trip to the past in one of Columbus’ many antebellum homes which are open daily.

For dinner, enjoy regional seafood dishes such as Creole-spiced red snapper‚ bacon-wrapped oysters, duck gumbo and much more
or serve up the pizzazz at J. Broussard’s, a New Orleans-style cuisine with Mississippi grace and charm. The restaurant is named
in honor of the late Joseph Broussard‚ who trained under some of New Orleans’ best-known chefs before opening his
own restaurant in Columbus.

DAY 2
Visit the Tennessee Williams Welcome Center beautifully placed in historic down town Columbus. This site is the first home of
legendary playwright Tennessee Williams. Take a complementary tour through this National Literary Landmark.
Visit another one of Columbus’ many historic antebellum homes.

Visit Friendship Cemetery, founded in 1849; the cemetery was the first place in America where a tribute was made to both
Union and Confederate causalities of war leading to our nation’s Memorial Day. Also, visit the weeping angel and grave site of
General Stephen D. Lee.

Indulge in traditional Southern cooking or sample foods from Asian spring rolls to spicy quesadilla. There’s something
for everyone at The Grill.

Visit the campus of Mississippi University for Women, the first public college for women in America.

For dinner, enjoy Woody’s on the Water- an elegant dinner destination overlooking the Tombigbee River. Additional dinner

DAY 3
Bring your camera and learn the tricks of the trade with a local photographer. Spend one hour of classroom instruction and
go around the city shooting professional quality photos.
Enjoy brunch at Columbus’ newest coffee shop, The Mississippi Coffee House located in downtown Columbus.
