Tour Dates:

Number of Days: 4

Day 1:

This signature tour begins with the perfect hotel, the Holiday Inn at Chattanooga’s Terminal Station, whose atmosphere sets the tone for this exciting trip. Peaceful garden paths featuring antique fountains and gas torch lights lead the way to retail shops, restaurants and luxury rail cars. Dinner this first evening will be at the Station House where singing waiters entertain you with songs from the era, including the "Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy."

Day 2:
Begin with a visit to the hotel’s Model Railroad exhibit, one of the world’s largest, followed by a ride on the authentic New Orleans Trolley. Then, we are off on a great adventure as we ride the Missionary Ridge Local part of the Tennessee Valley Railroad. This afternoon feature is an hour long ride where you will pass through a horseshoe tunnel. At days end we return to the city and enjoy a great dinner with beautiful scenery onboard the Southern Belle Riverboat.

Day 3:
Begin with a trip to Rock City Gardens on the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, where trolley cars take you up Lookout Mountain "cloud high" on the steepest passenger railway in America. Since 1929 "See Rock City" has dotted the barn roofs along America’s highways. From the Seven State Flag Court, to the Swinging Bridge, Lover’s Leap and Fat Mans Squeeze; a stroll through Rock City is old-fashioned fun. Next, inside Lookout Mountain, we enjoy a visit to thundering Ruby Falls; at 145 feet it is the world’s tallest underground waterfall. Dinner will be at 212 Market Street Restaurant followed by a music show at the Jukebox Junction Theatre.

Day 4:
Depart for home.
