Virginia
Beach Group Trip Ideas
The city of Virginia
Beach has two Guinness Book of Records entries,
one for being the home of the longest pleasure beach in the world, and
the other for having the longest bridge and tunnel complex, the
Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, in the world. Considered a resort because
of the beach and the active boardwalk, the city also has military
bases, state parks, universities, and historic sites for your group to
enjoy.
Virginia Beach Group Attractions
The three mile long
Virginia Beach Boardwalk is the place for your
group to go for a casual stroll, to hear some live music, bicycle, have
lunch, or just people watch. When you tire of the beach,
First Landing/Seashore State Park is a National Natural Landmark.
Camping, hiking, biking, fishing, boating and swimming are all fun
activities for your group here. The Adam Thoroughgood House was built
in 1680 and is said to be the oldest brick house in the entire country.
Now a museum, your group will enjoy seeing how people lived during that
time. The Lynnhaven House is a 1725 colonial home with almost all of
its original construction. It is listed in the National Register of
Historic Houses. Located on 5 acres, there are vegetable gardens,
cotton and other crops, plus a family cemetery from the Revolutionary
War. Your group can learn about what colonial family life was like as
they admire this gorgeous home. Search for Virginia Beach
