San Francisco Group Trip

San Francisco, “The City by the Bay” is one of the most thickly populated cities in the United States, and a very popular tourist attraction for people around the world. Planning a city tour to this area for your group should be easy; the difficulty lies in deciding just what attractions to take in. There are so many interesting things to see and do here that you will have a tough decision choosing between them! San Francisco is a diverse city which mixes culture with outdoor fun, museums with street fairs, and giant redwood trees with delicate bonsai in Japantown.

San Francisco Tour Attractions

Most visitors to this area enjoy experiencing some of the sights and sounds that the city is known for. Your group can tour Fisherman’s Wharf, and then take a ride back up to Union Square on the only National Historic Landmark that move, the cable car. A great way to see quite a few of the major points of the city is to take a tour bus along the 49-Mile Scenic Drive which travels in and around the city. Blue and white signs mark this route for easy navigation. There are other bus tours known as “Hop On/Hop Off Tours” which means you can get off the bus and explore the city whenever you want.

Some not-to-be-missed sights include the Golden Gate Bridge, the Wok Wiz Tour of Chinatown, Pier 39, which is the 3rd most visited tourist attraction in the US with LOTS to do and see, Alcatraz Island, the Marina Green, Fort Mason, Baker Beach, the Mission District for the artists in the group, Lombard Street, the most crooked street in the world and full of beautiful Victorian homes, and last but not least, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.  San Francisco tour attractions

San Francisco Group Dining Options

After all that sightseeing, your group is sure to have worked up quite an appetite! If you’re in the mood for seafood and/or Italian food, try Alioto’s Italian Seafood Restaurant. The view is great, the food is exceptional, and the wine list extensive! Groups are very welcome here, though reservations are suggested.  Or, perhaps American/Californian food is more your group’s style. If so, try Annabelle’s Bar and Bistro downtown. Wonderful entrees, sides, pizza and sandwiches, organic produce and great service make this place a jewel.
