Jacksonville Group Trip Ideas
There are many activities to pursue on a group trip to Jacksonville. Your group can choose from museums, beaches, golf, historic sites, nature and wildlife preserves, and more. Since Jacksonville is the biggest city in all of Florida… in fact, the largest city in the United States with 841 square miles, you can expect the typical urban hustle and bustle as well as a feeling of small town courtesy and friendliness.
Group Activities
Since Jacksonville is so large, it would be a fine idea to take the Skyway Monorail to see a bird’s eye view of the city and get your bearings! Your group will enjoy a tour of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, where you can see how beer is made, and sample the finished product at the end of the tour. Museums are plentiful in Jacksonville. One of the most popular is the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, located on the St John’s River and boasting two and a half acres of beautiful gardens. The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens 73 acre park makes for a fun group tour, too. Windsor Parke Golf Club, Panther Creek, Bent Creek and Hyde Park golf courses will happily reserve a tee time for your group. Or, try the beaches at Amelia Island, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine for some fun in the sun. Jacksonville tour attractions.
Group Dining
Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a wonderful choice for fine food. Wonderful thick steaks and fresh seafood reign supreme here. Groups are welcome with reservations. Chizu Japanese Steak and Seafood is another restaurant that welcomes groups. If sushi is your pleasure, you’ll find it here along with other seafood, steak and chicken entrees. You can watch the food being prepared right in front of you. Chizu is very close to the beach, so a walk on the sand afterwards is a fine way to end a great meal. Groups should make reservations in advance.
