Black
Hills Group Trip Ideas
Your
group’s trip to the Black Hills will be a pleasant one for your group
members who enjoy the outdoors. There is a lot to see and do here which
involve nature. There are six National Parks, waterfalls, wildlife to
see, 101 miles of National Scenic Byways, places to fish for trout,
camping, bike riding, and recreational hiking trails. There is also
golf for the sports fans and great shopping, too.
Black
Hills Group Attractions
Mount
Rushmore is probably the most visited tourist attraction in all of
Black Hills. It took 14 years to create these sculptures. There is also
a museum and information center at the site, as well as a sculptor’s
studio, gift shop, restaurant, ice cream shop, snack shop, and a
fudge/candy shop. The president’s faces are lit up each night in a
ceremony, an experience your group won’t want to miss. A sculpture in
progress is that of Crazy Horse, famous Lakota Indian chief, which is
located close to Mount Rushmore. When finished, which is expected to
take quite a long time, it will be the largest sculpture in the entire
world. Badlands National Park is a huge grass prairie that the
outdoorsy group members will be sure to appreciate. You will more than
likely see a lot of wildlife here, as well as fossils of animals – the
greatest fossil beds in the world. Any fossils are protected objects
and may not be removed from the park. Book your Black Hills
